Baseball Finals, Game #2: Garters at Lobsters

It was time for the second game of the finale for the Baseball Season of the White Collar division. As the crowd poured into a heated, roofed stadium, it was guys vs. girls, round #2. The Lobsters had taken the first game, but the question was whether the Lobsters could take the second game. 

The game got off to a quick start: with not even one out, Geraldine tripled home the first run of the game, making it 1-0 Garters. Jasmine hit a single, scoring Geraldine and it was 2-0 Garters. In the bottom of the first, Kevin singled and scored 2 runs, tying the game up at 2. Celina, the Garters' leadoff batter, was injured on the play. Cody hit a sac fly making it 3-2, Lobsters. In the top of the 2nd, the Garters answered right back as Stephanie batted in the tying run. Wilhemina reached on a throwing error and Stephanie scored, making it 4-3 Garters. In the top of the 3rd, Miguelina had an RBI single, making it 5-3, Garters. Erin grounded into a double play that resulted in Christina scoring, making it 6-3 Garters. That last run was the end for Clay. Bobby replaced him. In the bottom of the 3rd, David tripled home a run, making it 6-4 Garters. Kevin singled home a run, making it 6-5 Garters. Ryan singled home Kevin, making it tied at 6. That would be it for Samuelle, the pitcher for the Garters. In came Wadi. Kelly doubled for the Lobsters, making it 7-6 Lobsters. Mike hit a sac fly, making it 8-6 Lobsters. 

There was a 20-minute break before the game resumed so fans could get more snacks. In the bottom of the 4th, Cody hit a sac fly, making it 9-6 Lobsters. In the top of the 6th, Matt replaced Bobby as pitcher for the Lobsters. 

Another 20-minute break happened and now the teams took the field once more. Scott replaced Matt as pitcher for the Lobsters in the top of the 7th. Danielle took over for Samuelle in the bottom of the 7th. Andrew took over for Scott in the top of the 8th. Tamara came in to take over the pitching from Danielle in the bottom of the 8th. Joel took over for Andrew in the top of the 9th. 

The final score was 9-6 Lobsters. Bobby gets his 3rd win on the postseason and goes to 3-0 on the postseason. Joel gets his 5th save of the postseason. Samuelle gets her first loss of the postseason and goes to 1-1. Kevin is the player of the game with his 3 hits and 3 RBIs.
