Mixed Combat, Luke, Time Skill/Trial, Wave I

January 5th, 2053. The event: Mixed Combat The Contestant: Luke. Luke did not have much of a following in the Mantis community, but he was determined once and for all to prove them wrong. As Always, Horace and George delivered the commentary between the breaks.

Horace: Well, it's time for the first 5 rounds and the recap.

George: Right you are, roll the highlights.

--Highlights roll--

Horace: On to the round by round!

---Round 1--

George: The first round featured Zekielle and Luke going up against my namesake and Tom in a tag team.

Horace: Nothing really significant happened here, though it would have been nice to see Luke get more damage scored.

--Round 2--

George: The next round featured an armored Tsoyyoshi. Luke quickly dispatched this one.

Horace: Absolutely. He also got quite a few hits on him.


--Round 3--

George: After that came Peter.

Horace: This time, it was both quick and plenty of hits were scored.

George: An absolutely wonderful round for Luke.


--Round 4--

Horace: Then we had Luke and Luke the robot against Ivan and Mark. Plenty of hits were scored by the robot.

George: But of course, it is not the hits by the robot that counts.

Horace: Exactly. There will be a low score from this round

--Obstacle Course--

George: Finally, there was the obstacle course. Luke destroyed all 10 targets.

Horace: A great round for him!

George: That brings his score to 147,400.

Horace: Yes, and he hasn't fallen once.

George: Could we see a perfect game in this one?

Horace: Only time will tell. Let's get back to the action.

George: Roll the highlights!

Horace: Let's go round by round!

--Round 5--

George: Easy knockout of Kristobal, not much else to say.

--Round 6--

Horace: Barrage Round. Same old same old: little damage done in lots of time to win.

--Round 7--

George: Samuelle with heavy armor on vs. Luke. This time, this was the perfect match: lots of damage done in little time.

--Round 8--
Horace: Moray with a shining suit of armor on vs. Luke. Moray gets a knockout of Luke, but Luke prevails.

George: Unfortunately, he loses his perfect game.

Horace: Yes, indeed. We've only had one perfect game this entire wave so far!

--Round 9--
George: Barrage Round. Same old, same old.

--Round 10--
Horace: Brad vs. Luke, Mano a Mano. Luke takes it again, and can go home happy.

--Obstacle Course--

George: Beautiful performance by Luke, destroying all 10 targets.

Horace: His score is at 382,100. I think it's pretty clear that his score is going to be on the low end, isn't it?

George: Unfortunately, yes.

Horace: Let's get back to the action.

--Round 11--

George: This one was Luke against the Iton Twins, Weasel, and Nick.

Horace: Luke pretty much dispatched them all with the grace and elegance we've come to expect from them.

--MC To the Max--

George: And then there was Max, who he dispatched in under 30 seconds.

Horace: Yep. Final score: 482,100. It's a middling score, to be sure, but he can still make the playoffs.

George: From District A everyone, good night!
