It was time for Game #7, the deciding game, between the Champagnes and the Garters. Like most teams in the White Collar District C, most teams were named after articles that could be seen as either fashionable or luxurious. The Garters were an all-female team, while the Champagnes were all-male. The umpire said "play ball!" And away they went.
The game jumped out to action-packed start. Geraldine doubled home Cole to make it a 1-0 game in favor of the Garters. Then, the next batter, Jasmine, homered to make it a 3-0 Garter lead. All of this game in the bottom of the first. The next part of the first three innings was 3 up 3 down for both sides.
In the bottom of the 4th, Rhianne homered and got 2 RBIs to make it 5-0 Garters. That homerun chased the Champagnes' starter out of the game. Geraldine tripled home a run, making it 2 RBIs on the day for her in the bottom of the 5th and making it 6-0. Also in the bottom of the 5th, Jasmine homered, giving her 4 RBIs on the game, and making it 8-0 Garters. The women were making a mockery of the men.
In the bottom of the 8th, Carlos overran a ball to give the Garters a 9-0 lead on the error. Josephina, the pitcher for the Garters, was replaced with a pinch hitter and left to a standing ovation. In the top of the 9th, Rich singled home a run to make it 9-1 Garters. With the bases loaded, Aramis drove in 2, making it 9-3 Garters. That would be all the Champagnes could get as the Garters won, 9-3.
The winning pitcher and player of the game was Josephina. She goes to 1-2 on the postseason.
The loser pitcher was Martin. He goes to 0-2 on the postseason.
There was no save. Time of game was 2 hours and 31 minutes with an attendance of 48,950.
